PIA23175: Enceladus Global View with Plume (Artist's Rendering) https://photojournal.jpl.nasa.gov/catalog/PIA23175 This illustration shows Saturn's icy moon Enceladus with the plume of ice particles, water vapor and organic molecules that sprays from fractures in the moon's south polar region. A cutaway version of this graphic is also available, showing the moon's interior ocean and hydrothermal activity — both of which were discovered by NASA's Cassini mission (see PIA20013 ). This global view was created using a Cassini-derived map of Enceladus (see PIA18435 ).
