Description
Pavilion of the United States at the 1900 Paris World Fair. The equestrian statue at the entrance represents George Washington, while the ensemble above it was titled "La liberté sur le char du progrès." Most of the foreign pavilions were built on the left bank of the Seine river, between the Eiffel Tower and the Esplanade des Invalides (some were also located in the Trocadéro gardens, on the other side of the river, and in front of the Eiffel Tower).
