English: This is the train we took from Ollantaytambo to Machu Picchu. On the trip to and from the site we were served a drink and snack. This train is for tourists, there is another one for the local people.
Machu Picchu is a complete Inca city, set on a saddle of a high mountain with terraced slopes falling towards the Urubamba River.
Its altitude is at 2,350 meters above sea level and the location is stunning.
We reached Machu Picchu by a 43 kilometer rail trip from Ollantaytambo and then transferred to a bus that brought us up a windy 8 kilometer long road.
