THESE LOG BUILDINGS WERE MOVED TO THIS LOCATION AUG. 1965
THIS HOUSE AND BARN WERE ORIGINALLY LOCATED ON A PARCEL OF
LAND PURCHASED BY PETER NELSON FROM THE C.L. GOODELL LAND CO.
AT THE CARLTON COUNTY FAIR, 1892. THIS HOUSE WAS ERECTED THAT
FALL. THIS IS A TYPICAL HOME OF THE EARLY SETTLERS OF CARLTON
COUNTY AND NORTHEAST MINNESOTA AROUND 1900.
TO THE MEMORIES, TRIALS AND JOYS OF THESE PIONEERS,
WE PLACED THESE BUILDINGS HERE FOR YOUR AND FUTURE GENERAT-
IONS TO SEE, INSPECT AND MEDIATE UPON.
NOTE THE SAWED OFF LOGS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF BARN DOORWAY
THIS WAS DONE TO GET A YOKE OF OXEN INTO THE BARN, THAT HAD
BEEN BORROWED FROM C.B. OSWELL.
