This "sculpture" is situated on a wall above a shop in Philpot Lane in the City of London. It is in remembrance of two workers that lost their lives while building the nearby Monument to the fire of London.
Back in 1670 something - Two workers were perched on the Monument which is the world's tallest stone column and were taking a lunch break, when they got into a fight, apparently because one of the guys lunch had been partially eaten and they both ended up falling to their deaths...
It is thought that mice were responsible for the theft and this tribute was made to remember the workers. ( and the mice i guess )
