English: Pieter Teyler is portrayed both as a financier with his ‘Intrest Boek' - the ‘Interest Book' he used to track interest rates and outstanding loans - and also as a collector, with art albums in the background.
The pewter inkstand on the table is still in the collection of Teylers Museum.
The portrait hangs in the Smaller Boardroom (Kleine Herenkamer) in Foundation House, Teylers Museum.
Nederlands: Pieter Teyler is afgebeeld als financier (met zijn Intrest Boek waarin uitstaande leningen en rentepercentages werden bijgehouden) en verzamelaar (de kast met kunstalbums op de achtergrond).
Het tinnen inktstel op de tafel bevindt zich nog steeds in de collectie van Teylers Museum.
Het portret hangt in de Kleine Herenkamer in het Fundatiehuis.
