Summary

Description PLUMBBOB/NEWTON - September 16, 1957 - NEVADA TEST SITE -- The fireball of the 20th full-scale nuclear detonation of Operation Plumbbob lights Yucca Flat. Code-named NEWTON, the device was suspended by a balloon at an altitude of 1,500 feet.
