Summary

Description
English: Right side: rotor spins normally.

Left side: rotor spins in reverse.

Green: good course; rotor operates at high power, boat receives low heeling force.

Yellow: fair course; rotor operates at medium power, boat receives medium heeling force.

Red: bad course; rotor stops, boat receives high heeling force.

A schematic indicating the points of sail for a rotor ship. A= in irons (or into the wind), 0°; B= close hauled, 15-20° r/l; C= beam reach, 90° r/l; D= broad reach, 135° r/l; E= running, 180°.
