Summary

Description
English: Proposal for the flag of Ireland endorsed by both Sligo and Dublin County Councils in 1951. This proposal was effectively the same as the then (and current) flag of Ireland, only with a blue Celtic Cross added to the centre to symbolise the Christianity and Faith of the Irish people. It appeared in the Drogheda Independent on 13 January 1951.
