| Description | Prospect House is located at 3508 Prospect Street NW in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. It was built by James Lingan in 1788 and designed by William Thornton. Previous owners include Secretary James Forrestal and Richard Thurmond Chatham. The house is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the District of Columbia Inventory of Historic Sites. It is also a contributing property to the Georgetown Historic District. |
