Description
English: SR Devon Belle 58'6" Pullman Observation Car No.13 (later BR[LMR] No.M280M) was built at the Pullman's Preston Park Works, Brighton 1947 on the frames of a former LNWR Ambulance Car built in 1918 at Wolverton, which had been converted into a Pullman Car in 1921 and then to a Bar Car in 1937 before being rebodied into the Observation Car. No.13 and sister No.14 were built for the SR's Waterloo - Ilfracombe/Plymouth 'Devon Belle' Pullman service. Pictured at Corfe Castle station, Swanage Railway, Dorset, 2 August 2019.
