DescriptionPulpit and Communion Table in Duirinish Church - geograph.org.uk - 1548755.jpg
English: Pulpit and Communion Table in Duirinish Church. One of the highest pulpits of Scotland, with its unusual ogeed tester (or sounding-board), is complemented by the Communion Table dating from 1959, illustrating the church's dual ministry of Word and Sacrament. Between them is the box from which the Precentor used to lead the unaccompanied congregational singing. Now that the church has an organ the box has found a new use as a stand for floral arrangements. http://www.churchnwskye.co.uk/page4.html
