Description
English: This portrait was found concealed beneath the canvas of the "Self-Portrait" (Walters 37.2645), attached to the same stretcher. The subject may be Antoinette Schnitzler, Woodville's second wife. The couple had two children, one of whom, Richard Caton Woodville, Jr. (1856-1927), became a noted British artist specializing in military subjects.
