A portrait of UFA MLA Robert Milton McCool of Crossfield. Inscription on the reverse reads: "R. M. McCool / Cochrane"
Robert Milton McCool ran as a UFA candidate in the Cochrane electoral district in 1926, winning the seat. He was re-elected in 1930, and lost to Social Credit candidate William King in the 1935 election. McCool was also the manager of the Crossfield Co-operative Association, beginning in 1919. After leaving politics, McCool worked with UFA Central Co-operative Limited, organizing purchasing for UFA locals in northern Alberta. In 1953, McCool became the manager of the first modern Farm Supply Store of UFA Co-operative Limited in Calgary and subsequently travelled the province organizing branch stores.
