Summary

Description
English: Painting of a rosy periwinkle (a Madagascar flower traded for its beauty), found in China in the 1770s. Painting created by John Bradby Blake and Mauk-Sow-U as part of an effort to create a "Compleat Chinensis," or an English record of Chinese plants. The original work is located at the Oak Spring Garden Foundation in Upperville, Virginia.
