Summary

Description
English: Drawing of a rotary dump, a machine used to unload coal from a mine car. The dump is installed inside a coal tipple. A mine car loaded with coal is positioned inside the dump (see illustration on the left). The dump is then operated to tip the car and unload the coal into a chute beneath the tipple (right illustration).
