The factual accuracy of this map or the file name is disputed.
Reason: Obsolete map by now; had several flaws: Doesn't mark East Germany as a post-1990 member of NATO; doesn't mark the Baltic states in yellow AND green; insinuates that the light green new NATO members joined 1991 when the first were admitted to NATO in 1999; shows out-of-area territories of NATO-members as part of NATO. Nothing is directly false, but these are imprecisions.
Summary
DescriptionRussia-NATO.png
English: A map of the former members of the Warsaw Pact and the post-Soviet states (light green) that joined NATO (pre-1991 members in green) after 1998. The map also shows as Russia (orange) and the other post-Soviet states (yellow); note that Russia and the three Baltic states were also republics of the Soviet Union. Also note that East Germany was also part of the Warsaw Pact before it reunited with NATO member West Germany.
