English: AWM caption : 1943-01-01. Aerial port side view of the Dutch cargo vessel SS Reijnst which as part of convoy MS.2A ferried Australian troops from Ratai Bay, Java, whence they had been brought by the large transport RMS Aquitania, to Singapore in 1942-01. On 1943-04-26 she was part of convoy GP.48 when it was attacked by a Japanese submarine off the northern New South Wales coast. She later took part in Operation Lilliput in New Guinea between 1942-12 and 1943-06. Note the 12 pounder AA gun on the stern.
