DescriptionSalem Mappa 1765.jpg	English: Map from 1765 showing the territory over which the Imperial Abbey of Salem exercised high jurisdiction. Border stones numbered from 1 to 129 indicate the limits of the abbey. Salem was bordered on the south by Lake Constance, on the east by the Prince-Bishopric of Constance, on the north by the county of Heiligenberg (part of the scattered domains of the Fürstenberg princes) and on the west by the Imperial City of Überlingen. The elaborate coat of arms of Abbot Anselm II is shown in the upper right corner. Deutsch: Diese historische Karte aus dem Jahr 1765 zeigt das Territorium der Grafschaft Salmannsweiler, dem weltlichen Herrschaftsbereich der de:Reichsabtei Salem. Das eingezeichnete Gebiet liegt im heutigen de:Bodenseekreis östlich von de:Überlingen, de:Baden-Württemberg. Die nummerierten de:Grenzsteine markieren den Bereich, in welchem das Kloster die Hohe Gerichtsbarkeit innehatte. Eingezeichnet sind neben den Ortschaften auch Wege, landwirtschaftliche Nutzflächen, Bewässerungskanäle, Waldflächen und Landmarken. Das Kloster selbst liegt in der linken oberen Ecke des Territoriums (beschriftet als "Salmanschweil"). Im unteren Bereich ist das Bodenseeufer zu sehen, das von Nußdorf bis kurz vor de:Unteruhldingen zu Salem gehörte. Unmittelbare territoriale Nachbarn des Klosters waren die Reichsstadt Überlingen im Westen sowie die Grafschaft de:Heiligenberg. Das de:Wappen in der oberen rechten Ecke des Bildes gehört Anselm II., dem 38. Abt von Salem (Amtszeit 1746-1778).
