Summary
| Description |
English: Front HQ Scheld'apen. Former fire brigade house at D'Herbouvillekaai 36, Antwerp, in the middle of the Petroleum South industrial zone. The building dates from 1911 and was designed by Ferd. Truyman and Alexis Van Mechelen. It later became a canteen for the NMBS staff and was empty for a long time when it was squatted in 1998 and transformed into an alternative pop venue and youth culture house Scheld'apen. In 2014 Scheld'apen moved to a new location at Ankerrui 5-7.
Nederlands: Gevel Scheld'apen hoofdkwartier Nederlands: Voormalig brandweerwachthuis aan de D'Herbouvillekaai 36, Antwerpen te midden van industriezone Petroleum-Zuid. Het gebouwtje dateert van 1911 en is getekend door Ferd. Truyman en Alexis Van Mechelen. Het werd later een kantine van het NMBS-personeel en stond geruime tijd leeg toen het in 1998 werd gekraakt en omgevormd tot een alternatief poppodium en jongerencultuurhuis Scheld'apen. In 2014 is Scheld'apen verhuisd naar een nieuwe locatie aan de Ankerrui 5-7.
