Description
English: The compromise centreboard sloop Mayflower (Edward Burgess design, 1886) had previously defended the America's Cup with a sloop rig in 1886 before being sold in 1889 to Francis Townsend Underhill, who had her original designer and shipyard re-rig her as a schooner. Pictured in the Eastern Yacht Club's annual regatta, 1889.
