English: State-Burke Building or Burke-State Building, Pioneer Square neighborhood, Seattle, Washington, USA. The building, which combines two older buildings, takes up the entire east side of Occidental Mall in the Pioneer Square neighborhood of Seattle, Washington.
For further information about this building see Summary for 300 Occidental WAY / Parcel ID 5247800695, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods for the more northerly State Building (built 1891, the last major Seattle project by Elmer H. Fisher, on your left as you face the building from Occidental Mall) and Summary for 314 Occidental WAY / Parcel ID 5247800695, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods for the more southerly Burke Building (built 1900, on your right as you face the building from Occidental Mall, also known as Sportscaster and Company Building / Cracker and Candy Factory / Seattle Cracker and Candy Factory). These two pages on the site of the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods both accidentally omit "South" from the addresses, which should be 300 Occidental Way South and 314 Occidental Way South, respectively.
The Burke Building was originally the Schwabacher Hardware wholesale/warehouse, and is not Seattle's formerly famous (but now demolished) Burke Building that once stood at the site that is now the Henry M. Jackson Federal Building. However, it is named after the same person: Judge Thomas Burke.
