Sergei Mokhnatkin. The first political prisoner of modern Russia. December 31, 2009 walking down the street saw a police officer beating a woman. He tried to protect her, was charged with assaulting a police officer. He was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison. Released under an amnesty in 2012.
May 13, in Moscow, held a civil action under the title "Control Walking." The essence of the campaign was to show the power (to Vladimir Putin) that citizens can assemble peacefully, and where they want to go where they want. And no one can restrict civil liberties. The action was led by Russian writers. Thousands of people strolled along the boulevards of the capital.
