English: This mosque was built by Allaaddin Keykubad I in the 1220’s after the city’s capture in 1214. It was restored by Prince Ismail (1322-1461) of the Candar Dynasty. I was mostly destroyed after a recapture of the town in 1254. Then Seljuks vizier Pervâne rebuilt the mosque in 1267. in the 1340’s İbrahim of Candarids built a tomb in the north east corner of the mosque yard. The mosque has been changed several times after. Pictures from 2005 show other colours and painted wood where now it often looks plain.
