Description
English: Sledmere House, Sledmere, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
The present Sledmere House dates back 1751 when Sir Richard Sykes, demolished the previous house and built a new one, planting some 20,000 trees on the Wolds around it. Sir Christopher Sykes, 2nd Baronet (1749–1801) greatly expanded the estate.
