Description
Français : Socle de la Statue-Équestre-de-Saint-Georges et église de Saint-Georges à Saint-Georges (Québec). La sculpture a été réalisée par Louis Jobin (1845-1928) entre 1909 et 1912. Sculpture en bois recouverte de feuilles de cuivre doré, la statue mesure près de 2 mètre et à une masse d'un peu plus d'une tonne.

La statue originale a été relocalisée en 1987 à l'intérieur de l'église de Saint-Georges, puis au centre culturel Marie-Fitzbach, on voit ici une réplique en fibre de verre sur le socle original.

Le socle, d'une hauteur de 3 mètres, a été construit par Olivier Jacques en pierre de taille de Deschambault et conçu par les architectes David Ouellet et Pierre Lévesque.
