Note that this Civil War memorial is formally entitled the Soldiers' Monument even though it also honors sailors. For more detail, please see "Dedication of the soldiers' monument at Worcester, Massachusetts: July 15, A.D. 1874". This statue is in the public domain because it was first published before 1923.
