Summary

Description
English: One of the lion gate posts at the entrance to St David's Park, Hobart, at the corner of Davey Street and Salamanca Place. The two lions were sculpted around 1884 by Richard Patterson for entrance of the Bank of Van Diemen's Land building at the corner of Collins and Elizabeth streets which can be seen in [1]. They were moved to Port Arthur when the building was demolished in 1958, and installed in the park in 1988.[1].
