Summary
| Description | St Roberts Church, Pannal, North Yorkshire, England. Turret clock mechanism in tower. Possibly dates from 19th century. Measures over 3ft high and wide. Chimes on the hour using clapper against largest church bell. Clock weights and winding cranks removed some years ago, and replaced with electric motor, but main mechanism still working. 6ft pendulum causes tick of about one second. The image shows the clock face and mechanism which is used to set the time on the three clock faces of the tower. |
