Summary

Description
English: U.S. forgery for Germany. Produced in 1944 by members of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS) in Rome, Italy.

Only five known stamp blocks are preserved, one of them as a "double stamp block". This block should be somewhat similar to the German Block Mi.-Nr. 646. It is listed in the German "Michel" stamp catalog as Nr. 18 a.
