English: Stjórnarráðshúsið, the Prime Minister's Office and offices for the Cabinet of Iceland, is in Reykjavik. The building was completed in 1770 and served as a penitentiary until 1816. The Icelandic government has utilized the building since 1904. It is where the national flag was first hoisted.
