Description
English: Stoke Canon Bridge. The bridge was originally medieval; this structure is probably C15, rebuilt in the C19, and with the causeway beyond, over 800 feet long. Details are at https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1253020 . The causeway carries the A396 across the lower Culm valley to a bridge over a leat, which once powered Stoke Canon paper mill (thanks to Martin Bodman for this information). Looking SSE.
