Though this image is subject to copyright, I feel its use is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because:

1. This is an image created and uploaded for informational purposes only, for visual identification of the first UK edition of the novel Gambit.
2. The image is an accurate scan and includes all of the art created for the spine and front cover of the first-edition dustjacket
3. This image is of much lower resolution than the original. It cannot be used for high-resolution printing, and any copies made from it will be of inferior quality.
4. Use of this image in the article Gambit (novel) adds significantly to the article because it visually identifies the first British edition of the novel
5. Use of this image in the article Gambit (novel) adds significantly to the article because its design has been regarded as notable by John Cooper and B.A. Pike in their book Artists in Crime: An Illustrated Survey of Crime Fiction First Edition Dust Wrappers 1920–1970 (1995), ISBN 1859281885 (the Gambit dust jacket appears on p. 170)
