English: A Swing Mk4 Bolt Action Target Rifle viewed from the left hand side. The Swing was developed in the United Kingdom during the 1970s as one of the early purpose-built target rifles. Service rifles such as the Lee-Enfield and Mauser 1898 were perceived as having reached the limits of their development potential. On this example, the original Central no. 4 rearsight is fitted
