English: Om arkæologikongressens udflugt til Sølager i 1869 berettes: »Fra et lille ukjendt Fiskerleie er det i et Døgn voxet op til et Sted, navnkundigt i den hele videnskabelige Verden. Med Undren havde de sikkert seet Professor Steenstrup med hans Sapeurer ankomme et Par Dage forud for Congressen, og efter Konstens Regler anlægge tre Fod dybe Løbegrave i den nu navnkundige Kjøkkenmødding, og med endnu større Undren saae vist de paa Stedet talrigt forsamlede Damer fra Egnen Congressens Medlemmer dukke ned og forsvinde i disse Grave«.
