Summary

Description
English: Taff Vale Railway Hurray Riches Class "O2" 17.5" 0-6-2T No.85 (later GWR No.426) built by Neilson Reid in 1899 (Works No.5408). A development of the coal engines of Class "01" with the boiler of the passenger Class "U1". They, with the several other TVR 0-6-2T's, did stirling work on the TVR until replaced by GWR "56XX" Class 0-6-2T's in the late 20's & 30's. In 1929 No.426 was sold by the GWR to the Lambton, Hetton & Joicey Collieries which eventually bacame part of the NCB (which replaced the cab). It worked from Philadelpia Shed until 1968 - a long life. At Haworth, Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, 09/74. Scanned photograph taken with a Kowa SET.
