Description

An example to a curve's tendency. To calculate this parameter at the highlighted points, a right angle is placed next to the points, such that the quadrant defined by the angle is fully contained in a small enough neighborhood of the left hand side of the curve. The curve's tendency is then the sum of the numbers from the formulation of the discrete Green's theorem, associated with the angles we placed. In this example, both the curve's tendencies are zeroed at the highlighted points, due to deduction.
