English: The remains of Nore Army Fort. These concrete foundations and short metal stumps are all that remain of Nore Army Fort. Originally similar in construction to Shivering Sands fort TR1382 and Red Sands fort TR0779and was located in TQ8880. The fort was deemed a danger to shipping when a vessel collided with one of its towers shortly after it was also damaged in a storm. It was dismantled in 1959, with the concrete foundations being transported to and left here near Cliffe. The power station in the distance is Tilbury power station.
