Since Congressional action in early June resulted in the elimination of the Graphics Division of the OWI and in a general paring of federal poster activities, governmental agencies have tended to be more dependent than ever on the Board's Poster Committee. As acurately as can be determined from information on hand, approximately three-quarters of generally distributed governmental posters during 1943 are products of the Poster Committee.
The principal contribution made this year was the poster and slogan, "Back the Attack" by George Schreiber, for the Third War Loan Drive. Three million copies of this poster in various sizes were distributed by the U.S. Government.
