| Description | brass replica of the Tjurkö 1 bracteate (DR BR75, Statens Historiska Museum #1453) :: heldaz kunimudiu : wurte runoz an walhakurne :"Helda, for Kunimundi, wrought the runes on the Roman coin" the original bracteate is of gold, with a diameter of 27 mm. the facsimile was obviously made after this drawing, exaggerating the gap before the o of runoz and showing a short-twig Younger Futhark a in an, judging from the image linked above, both without basis in the original. here[1] is another image of the original. |
