| Description |
English: Tokyo Metropolitan Police Board Headquarters in 1931. In 1874 (Meiji 7), the "Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department" was established, and the government building was located at the former "Tsuyama Domain Matsudaira Family Residence" (near the southern end of the current "Tokyo Station") of the "Kajibashi". After that, after changing the system and name, it became the "Metropolitan Police Department" from 1881 (Meiji 14). In 1911 (Meiji 44), it moved to Hibiya to build "Tokyo Station", but it was destroyed by fire in 1923 (Taisho 12) due to the "Great Kanto Earthquake". The Metropolitan Police Board Headquarters was completed in 1931 (Showa 6).
日本語: 1874（明治7）年、「東京警視庁」が設置され、庁舎は「鍛冶橋」の旧「津山藩松平家上屋敷」（現在の「東京駅」の南端付近）に置かれた。その後、制度や名称の変更を経て、1881（明治14）年より「警視庁」となった。1911（明治44）年、「東京駅」建設のため日比谷へ移転したが、1923（大正12）年の「関東大震災」による火災で焼失、復興時、「桜田門」前に新庁舎を建設し、1931（昭和6）年に竣工した。1931年（昭和6年）から1977年（昭和52年）まで使用された建て替え前の旧本部庁舎。1980年（昭和55年）からは同じ場所に現本部庁舎が竣工。 |
