Description
English: IVPP V5015, a referred specimen of Tomistoma petrolica YEH 1958 (an extinct species of false gharial) from the Maoming Series (Uppermost Eocene of Guangdong, SE China), on display at the Paleozoological Museum of China. From left to right: left humerus (upper forelimb bone), skull (anterior part of snout missing), left mandibular ramus (left half of lower jaw, anterior portion missing), right femur (upper hindlimb bone). With exception of the femur this material was described and figured in Li (1975).[1] In the right bottom of the image there was a sign which has been removed from the original shot.
Deutsch: IVPP V5015, ein Exemplar von Tomistoma petrolica YEH 1958 (ein ausgestorbener enger verwandter des Sundagavials) aus der Maoming-Serie (jüngstes Eozän der Guangdong-Provinz, südöstliches China), ausgestellt im Paläozoologischen Museum von China. Von links nach rechts: linker Humerus (Oberarmknochen), Schädel (vorderer Teil der Schnauzenpartie fehlt), linker Unterkieferast (vordere Partie fehlt), rechter Femur (Oberschenkelknochen). Mit Ausnahme des Femurs ist dieses Material in Li (1975)[1] beschrieben und abgebildet.
