Summary

Description
English: Magnitude of the characteristic impedance of a typical RG-59 coaxial transmission line with a good (high resistivity) dielectric insulator in ohms. Impedance varies from 75Ω at high frequency to about 7MΩ in the near DC region. The DC limit is controlled by the series resistance of the conductors and the bulk resistivity of the dielectric, which has been taken to be approximately 10¹⁵ Ω-cm for this example.
