Description
English: Soviet commemorative 3 ruble Cu-Ni coin (mass: 14.4g, mf: N/A, diameter: 33mm, thickness: 2.2mm, quality: proof) of the 70th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution.
  • Obverse shows the coat of arms of the USSR, the Russian text for "USSR" (СССР, tr: SSSR), the coin's denomination of 3 ruble (3 РУБЛЯ, tr:1 RUBLYA), and the date of mintage (1987).
  • Reverse shows the year of the October Revolution (1917), a worker, a soldier and a sailor all armed with Mosin-Nagant rifles complete with bayonets, the text "Seventy years of Great October Socialist Revolution" in Russian (СЕМЬДЕСЯТ ЛЕТ ВЕЛИКОЙ ОКТЯБРЬСКОЙ СОЦИАЛИСТИЧЕСКАЯ РЕВОЛЮЦИИ, tr: SEM'DESYAT LET VELIKOY OKTYABR'SKOY SOTSIALISTICHESKAYA REVOLYUTSII) on the coin's upper rim.
