Summary

Description

A U.S Navy Kaman UH-2C Seasprite (BuNo 151323) of Helicopter Combat Support Squadron HC-2 DET.66 Fleet Angels flies off the starboard side of the aircraft carrier USS America (CVA-66) while the ship is underway off Vietnam. An unidentified Essex-class aircraft carrier is in the background. America, with assigned Carrier Air Wing 9 (CVW-9), was deployed to Vietnam from 10 April to 21 December 1970.

Note: The date given, 25 August 1976, has to be incorrect, as CVW-9 was assigned to America in 1969-70.
