English: Uckfield Station, the terminus of the Uckfield branch of the Oxted Line. All services at this station are operated to and from London Bridge by Southern. This service, consisting of one train per hour, is operated using Class 171 Turbostar DMUs as the route is not electrified past Hurst Green. It had been planned to electrify the route around the same time that the line to East Grinstead was electrified, but this did not go ahead as passenger numbers were too low to justify the cost. The route from London Bridge to Uckfield is one of only two Southern Routes operated using diesel trains, the other being from Brighton to Ashford International.
