Summary

Description
English: Nativity spread depicting the three kings worshipping the baby Jesus from The Altar Book (1896) by Daniel Berkeley Updike. The image on the left and the text block on the right are not centered, but are closer to the gutter than the outside edge of the page. Both the woodcut illustration and the text block are surrounded by densely decorated borders that depict vines, owls, flowers, along with three flags of names.
