English: Vicars Close - Wells Vicars Close is a cul-de-sac of 27 terrace houses for the use of the clergy and choral of Wells Cathedral, and they were built from c.1360 for Bishop Ralph of Shrewsbury. Despite the renewal of the chimney shafts in the C15, and extensive refenestration in the C18 and early C19, the overall form of the buildings remain substantially unchanged. Grade I Listed.
