English: Victoria Mayor Raul “Nonong” Gonzales - Laguna’s Victoria town marks 10th Itik-Itik Festival with a bang[1] [2] -- inside his Office in the Victoria Municipal Hall[3] [4] [5] Magsaysay, Nanhaya, Laguna, 4011, Philippines latitute 14.2274636 longitude 121.3281636 [6] - including the Mayor's Office, Sangguniang Bayan, Police Station and adjoining Gym, Plaza, School and Muncipal Court, etc. --- Victoria, Laguna[7] is a fourth class municipality in the province of Laguna, [8] Philippines. According to the latest census, it has a population of 34,604 people.
It is southeast of Laguna de Bay, [9] 90 kilometres (56 mi) south of Manila and bordered by the Municipality of Calauan[10] to the southwest, Nagcarlan to the southeast and Pila[11] to the northeast. The municipality has a total land area of 22.83 square kilometres which is 1.30% of the total land area of the province of Laguna. Its name was adopted from President Quirino's daughter Victoria Quirino. [12] After Pateros became highly urbanized and densely populated, Victoria became a destination of balut traders and became the "Duck[13] Raising Center of the Philippines". The town was featured as the detour challenge of Leg 11 of the 5th Season[14] of the Amazing Race[15]. Victoria celebrates their Itik Festival every last week of April. Victoria is politically subdivided into 9 barangays. Two of these, Nanhaya and San Roque, are classified as urban while the rest are rural. Banca-banca, Nanhaya (Pob.), San Francisco, inter alia.
