Summary

Description
English: View down Knight's Hill (1) A number of prominent buildings in the City are visible.

The tower in the foreground is that of St Luke, West Norwood (1822, by Francis Bedford). Immediately to the left of the tower is Tower 42 a.k.a. the Natwest Tower (1971-79,Richard Seifert and Pell Frischmann). To the left and in front of that is the distinctive tower of Guy's Hospital, the tallest hospital building in the world (1974, Watkins Gray). The building to the right of St Luke under construction is the Heron Tower (2008-11, Kohn Pedersen Fox and Skanska) which later this year should become the tallest building in the UK.

To its right is the ubiquitous 30 St Mary Axe a.k.a the Gherkin (2001-04, Foster & Partners and Arup).
